The place is Camp No.4 near Kangdong, North Korea just east of Pyongyang. It is the summer of 2007. It is a warm night and a foreign business man is at Camp No.4 which is a forced labor camp to pick up a completed order of men and womens leather belts to be transported to China then shipped and sold to various companies in the United States. This 27 year old business man who we will call James, is attending a party at Camp No.4 to celebrate the shipment of his products.
During the party James needs to use the bathroom and asks his North Korean soldier/escort to direct him to the nearest bathroom. He proceeds down a dim lit hallway and up some stairs as he passes several doorways that lead to darkened rooms he is shocked when several caucasian men ask him if he is a "Dutchman". James asks them are you Americans and they reply "yes" we are. During his conversations he is asked if he could tell "General Ridgeway" or "General MacArthur" that we are still here. One man sobs and asks James to tell his father he is still a prisoner and to come and get him.
A short time later James soldier/escort follows behind him and tells him they are American POWs. He smiles and says to James "we have 60 more in other barracks here". James is told some are from the Vietnam war and a few from the Korean war. After returning from North Korea James records a audio CD and contacts the families of the men he spoke to. One of these men he contacts is the brother of one of the men he spoke to, Robert Dumas who has been working to have his brother released for more than 50 years. He promised his dying mother he would do everything he could to find his brother Roger Dumas and negotiate his return. Robert was told by James only incidents him and his brother only knew when they were growing up together. Because of this Robert knows this information is genuine.
No this is not a "made up" story. I have copies of the CD recordings. They were also given to a US Senator in Washington DC as well as the Pentagon five months ago - silence. The only thing asked was where this man is now and who has copies of the CD recordings. The recording will be made public soon at the website listed below for everyone to hear. I suppose some will say this is "hear say", "not true", or complete denial. Believe what you will, you be the judge.
All of the military veterans and the active service members serve this country by placing their safety and their lives "on the wall and we need them on the wall"! We all owe them the comforts of our lives here and they have not deserted us for one minute. The least we can do is to try every means possible to negotiate their return, we owe them! All I ask is since we are nearing the holidays is that when you sit down at the table with your family at Thanksgiving and Christmas and enjoy all of the "trimmings" just say a little prayer and think of these men. Reflect on what they have gone through for you and what they will be enjoying during these upcoming holidays. They all do it for you!
The following part of the US Army Special Forces creed;
I will not fail those with whom I serve.
I will not bring shame upon myself or Special Forces.
I will never leave a fallen comrade.
I will never surrender though I am the last.
If I am taken, I pray that I have the strength
to defy my enemy.
I am a member of my Nation's chosen soldiery,
I serve quietly, not seeking recognition or accolades.
My goal is to succeed in my mission - and live to succeed again.
